THE HUDSON CITY SCHOOLS foundation

Scholarships & Grants

The HCSF Scholarships and Grants Committee helps donors create sustainable funding sources for scholarships directly benefiting graduating seniors and grants supporting classroom, building, and district-wide programs and projects.

The S&G Committee works directly with the donor to establish and promote a specific purpose fund and then administers the confidential and unbiased application and selection process to accomplish the donor’s desired impact.

In memoriam and other designated funds can be created with ease to honor family members, teachers, and alumni; celebrate student accomplishments in the classroom and beyond; support enriched learning experiences; and inspire specific educational pursuits.

Hudson Public Schools Endowment Fund

A 1933 graduate of Hudson High School, Donald Barlow established the Hudson Public Schools Endowment Fund to help fellow Hudson High graduates pursue knowledge through post-secondary education. It has since led to the creation of nearly two dozen funds benefiting the system's five schools and their students. These funds reward excellence in all areas of student life, from academics and athletics to moral leadership and entrepreneurship. They also support teacher grants for student-centered programs and projects that enrich learning.

Through the Hudson Public Schools Endowment Fund, we award over $200,000 in scholarships each year
